Birmingham born, multifaceted artist newly named ‘O’phir’ (aka De’ray Love) has been releasing music since 2012. Musical influences include anyone from: Michael Jackson to Whitney Houston, from TuPac to Destiny’s Child. O’phir’s sound is heavily inspired by the likes of Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera, she also combines Rap into her music.
O’phir’s first body of work was released in 2015,’Thoughts of a Woman’ at her sold out listening party at Juno Bar in Shoreditch, London; supporting acts included BBC’s VITAL, CoCo and Iesha Haughton (The Voice).
O’phir sold just under 200 hard copies of her EP and received thousands of listens online, music video views, even playing on DJ CLUE’s radio show in USA. O’phir has performed this material up and down the country, performing at The Ritzy, Scala King Cross, Simmer Down Festival, Camden Lock,The Finborough Arms, The Amersham Arms, shoreditch’s Cafe 1001 and many more.
‘Litty’ released in August 2017 and the music was sent out to radio stations and was played on BBC 1Xtra, and BBC WM as well as HOt 92 and various other stations, also in a few clubs and bars. Litty was uploaded to all digital platforms, Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, even having coverage in Los Angeles Magazines. ‘The Memo came at a hard time in O’phir’s life and boasts deep, raw emotional thought, Litty being the lead single.
In March 2019 arranged her own tour called ‘Soft Lips Tour’ she decided she was going to create her own tour to promote the song, in doing so it achieved radio play on 1xtra, reprezent radio, playlisted on Pulse Fm and many more stations. Late 2020 she released ‘The Love Diaries EP’, with the lead single being ‘Soft Lips’.
