Tempa was born in a Birmingham Hospital on Wednesday 4th December.
Only an hour after being born, her Father Long John, Uncle Bassman and Godfather Micky Finn visited her at the hospital.
On arrival her Father placed his Walkman headphones on her ears and there and then she fell in love with the music.

Over the coming years she has learnt the trade and gained experience in the Drum & Bass scene, accompanying her father and her uncle to nearly every National and International booking.

Tempa is said to be a true rarity as a black woman within a music genre mostly dominated by white males. Tempa has established her self a solid fanbase and extensive network within the Drum & Bass genre. Tempa started her music career in 2018 and has since built up an impressive resume, playing 25 shows to an audience total of 12,000, creating 30 mixes with 33,395 listens, and racking up live stream views of 29,000. Tempa merge her passion for music with a drive for gender and racial equality.
Tempa participated in a stream for pink ribbon breast cancer fundraiser with an all female lineup and appear as a regular on Love Music, Hate Racism stream. Tempa wants to be a flame to ignite change in the new world of the future. Her position in the music is spreading a strong message that the Drum & Bass genre is going through major shifts in regards to inclusivity, giving hope to a new generation of female artists of BAME background.
